Very similar to Hotkeys, shortkeys have the same functionality with the difference that they get triggered differently. Instead of pressing a key to execute a command, shortkeys trigger by writing some defined short text in default chat.

For example, you can set up a shortkey t that has for command say hi thais yes to enabled you to quickly travel boats, or one for pt that has for command say please bring me to thais. All you would then have to do is to type p/pt in default chat and have it say the complete sentence for you. All in all, it's the same thing as hotkeys with a different triggering method, which may be more convenient in some cases.
